Foreign Ministers of Iceland and Lithuania meet

Foreign Minister Össur Skarphéðinsson met with Linas Linkevicius, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, in Brussels on February 18. Minister Linkevicius was apppointed in December 2012 and is now leading Lithuania's preparations for the EU presidency during the second half of 2013.
Since Lithuania regained its independence the two countries have enjoyed deep friendship and collaborated in various areas. At the meeting the ministers discussed bilateral issues, Iceland's EU accession process, the mackerel dispute and NATO issues.
